Live cohort sessions
- 120 minutes weekly.
- Mix of incident simulations, role plays, debriefs, and small-group breakouts.
- Led by on-the-job leaders (senior ICs / special guests) for realism.
On-the-job application
- Participants apply tools during real incidents each week, such as using the executive update template, running debriefs, and experimenting with boundaries.
- Capture short micro-cases for discussion.
Peer partner system
- Each participant is paired with a program leader.
Curriculum Structure (8 Weeks)
Week 0 - Selection, Baseline, Expectations
- Purpose: align stakeholders, select participants intentionally, establish baselines and inputs.
- Manager nominations based on observed behaviors: ownership, composure potential, and communication.
- Simple self-assessment on key skills: communication, decision-making, stress management, and leadership.
- Short questionnaire aligned with desired psychological profile: emotional stability, adaptability, internal locus of control, service orientation, and comfort with ambiguity.

Week 6 - Leadership in CrisisMission 4184 minutes

- Day 28 (Wednesday) - Prepare role assignments for the crisis simulation.

- Day 30 (Friday) - Capture 360-degree feedback and leadership lessons.
Week 7 - Capstone
- Each participant writes a 2-3 page Ranger Operating Manual describing how they operate in high-severity incidents.
- Panel interview.
- Program closure.
This program is designed to be realistic for high-severity support operations while deeply developing the mental, communication, and leadership skills needed for Rangers to perform consistently under pressure.
